"The FRANCE you came to find"
Four large
comfortable living rooms, with a lot of original architectural elements,
on the ground floor
of this 37 m long house giving access to the wide terraces and
overviewing the gardens on all sides :
|
 |
The reception room (36 m²)
Your first contact with the house is this original Charentaise
rustic room dating from the 18th c. The decoration is a mix of a
farm kitchen and a country pub : an antic kitchen corner, wood
beams and stone walls, a wood burner,
a big farm table, a bar corner... and space for children to play.
Breakfast is served in this room from automn to spring.
The staircase leads to 1st floor guest rooms and
three large doors give access to the terraces.
|
|

|
The
living room (41 m²)
The largest room of the house also dating from the 18th century
: warm and quiet atmosphere with antic family furniture, books,
records
and many games for all ages.

|
The
dining room (23 m²)
This room dates from the 17th c. : painted beams and wood work,
stone floor and fire place, cloth on the walls and antic family
furniture.

Four times a week,
we cook regional food with
fresh products from the market and share dinner with our
guests around the big table. |
|

|
The
billiard room (30 m²)
Facing the oakwood and the
park, this very bright summer sitting room or winter garden had
been added to the house around 1910.
We converted it into a billiard room

also displaying our
collection of antique scales.
